š§¢ Internationally acclaimed British Ceramics Biennial returns to Stoke-on-Trent
It has been announced recently that the next edition of the British Ceramics Biennial will run from 6 September to 19 October 2025, bringing together a dynamic programme of free exhibitions, screenings, talks and events that shine a light on Stoke-on-Trentās industrial heritage and creative edge. Hot on the heels of Stoke-on-Trent being named a World Craft City, and in the year that the city celebrates its centenary, the 2025 Biennial will spotlight leading contemporary ceramic artists and introduce work by fresh new talent, animating historic buildings and unexpected places with clay.

The first wave of act announcements for Psychic Dancehall Festival in Derby on 22 March 2025 includes headliners The Utopia Strong, the ākosmiche electronic trioā comprised of Steve Davis (yes, the World Champion snooker player), Kavus Torabi (Knifeworld, Cardiacs, Gong) and Mike York (Coil) who are riding high of the back of their critically acclaimed 2022 album āInternational Treasureā. The festival is the brainchild of Derby-based music journalist, DJ and promoter James Thornhill who says: āThis will be a high-profile event for the city and will have the attention of national music media and other media outletsā. š§¢ Stoke Past & Present
For over 90 years The Society of Staffordshire Artist Members have been creating and exhibiting some of the finest artwork in the region with many having exhibited at major galleries locally, nationally and internationally. A Stoke Past & Present exhibition has been assembled to celebrate the 100 Years of Stoke-on-Trent as a city and as a centre for artistic creativity - as well as 90 years of being a focus and showcase for the Societyās Membersā work. It runs until 23 February and admission is free.

Electric Daisy has become a Derby phenomenon. A community garden, event space and social hub created with the backing of The Eden Projectās Sir Tim Smit, itās opening its doors for a pre-Christmas bash on 13 December called FEED - billed as āa dining experience like no otherā. Priced Ā£50 per head, it includes a three-course meal, welcome drink and a festive treat, with mulled wine, and live music in a festively dressed setting.
